Course Description

An 18-hole (6,259 yd) heathland layout, Alyth Golf Club was established in1895. The original 9 holes were designed by the master Old Tom Morris of St Andrews with James Braid completing the extension in 1934.

Playing the course demands constant attention as a combination of tree lined fairways and diverse rolling terrain make the emphasis on precision golf rather than distance, although both are required.

Alyth’s most demanding aspect however, might be it’s tranquil setting. Within the pines, silver birch and heather or overlooking the nearby hills, it is easy to lose yourself in the joys of a good game of golf with a layout so conceived that you barely notice other groups of golfers.

In 2015, Alyth beat off some stiff competition when it was awarded ‘Best Course Under £50’ at The Scottish Golf Tourism Awards. So if you want a great value-for-money day in Scotland, come and play here at Alyth.

Course Description

Designed by James Braid with influences from Dr. Alistair McKenzie, the renowned architect of the Augusta National course, Rosemount has played host to a number of prestigious professional and amateur tournaments. The more forgiving fairways are compensated with larger and more undulating greens than its younger neighbour, giving the golfer a testing but rewarding challenge.

Lansdowne, designed by respected partnership of Peter Allis and Dave Thomas, hosted the Scottish Amateur Championship in 2013 and PGA Championship Final in 2014, is a true championship course and a fine test of golf. It offers a more challenging test routed through swathes of pine and silver birch trees, putting a premium on accuracy from the tee. With smaller greens than its older neighbour, the Lansdowne championship course provides a challenging but pleasurable test for all levels of golfer. Designed by the respected partnership Peter Allis and Dave Thomas, it was officially opened in 1979.
