  • The city of Aberdeen is the most densely populated part of this region and therefore has more than its fair share of golf courses.  The city is also home to Paul Lawrie, the last Scotsman to win the Open Championship (Carnoustie 1999).
  • Balgownie Links of the Royal Aberdeen Golf Club, has hosted the Seniors British Open in 2005, the Walker Cup 2011 and the European Tour’s AAM Scottish Open 2014.
  • Aberdeen is most recently famed for its University, its football club, the fishing industry & the oil industry.
  • It has been well documented that American president, Donald Trump has built his Trump International Golf Links at Balmedie, north of Aberdeen.
  • Heading northward from Aberdeen you will come across Slains Castle at Cruden Bay, two of Scotland’s main fishing ports at Peterhead & Fraserburgh and a rugged coastline overlooking the Moray Firth, from MacDuff & Banff to Forres, lined with golf courses.
