Course Description
Arbroath golf course is a traditional links course situated between the sea and farmland on the west side of the town. From the yellow tees the course is a 5826 yards par 68, expanding to a 6200 yards par 70 from the medal tees.
First impressions would suggest that this course would not provide much of a challenge to the accomplished golfer, but on closer inspection the true nature of the course becomes clear. Farmland on the right borders the first seven holes, making it essential that you work on your slice. On no fewer than nine occasions you will have to negotiate burns crossing the fairway, and strategically placed bunkers provide yet another opportunity to add to your score. Add to this the ever present ‘sea breeze’ and the challenge of the Arbroath links begins to focus the mind.

Course Description
Caird Park was recorded as being the busiest course in Europe in the mid 1980’s. It is a wonderful parkland track, fairly easy to score on the first few holes but increasing in difficulty as the layout progresses. Opened in 1923, Caird Park is an easy-walking course surrounded by avenues of trees and views north to the Sidlaw Hills. But it can be challenging especially around the greens, which offer a variety of defences forcing the golfer to play decisively. This has all added to Caird Park’s reputation as a popular parkland experience. Caird Park also boasts a testing 9 hole course, an athletics stadium, nature trails and the historic 16th century Mains Castle.

Course Description
Designed by top golfer architect Bob Simpson, the 18-hole par 71 course at The Edzell Golf Club was originally laid out in 1895 and amended some thirty-nine years later in line with recommendations from the legendary James Braid. With a virtually unchanged layout it is now complemented by a 9-hole West Water Course which was brought into play in 2001.
Located in the delightful village of Edzell, many times winner of the national Beautiful Britain in Bloom Competition, and lying midway between Dundee and Aberdeen, this magnificent course is set at the gateway to the Angus Glens reaching into the foothills of the Grampian Mountains. Although originally heathland in nature, a major tree-planting programme started in the 1960s has brought a parkland air to the picturesque and peaceful setting.
